Be Prepared – Part One

| 10th November 2015

Is it still too early to be talking about Christmas?

Family members have been asking us for gift ideas for months, some people have finished their shopping and the Christmas movies have started up again on TV. Personally, I haven’t bought any presents or even put ‘cards’ on the to-do list, but am definitely feeling the momentum towards the celebrations and am keen to pace myself and enjoy every minute. I love the build up to Christmas and over the next few weeks we are going to feature ‘Something for You’ – an inspiring Christmassy event and ‘Something for Them’ – great gift ideas. You can find our Festive Top Tips on our Christmas Page along with full details of all our Christmas courses.

Something for You

What a wonderful way to welcome the Christmas season – the Country Living Christmas Fair!

We are delighted to be contributing to the Christmas Theatre and demonstrating Wreaths, Puddings and Hampers, if you are able to come along – do say hello and if you haven’t bought your tickets yet you can get £1 off the standard tickets, for London, with the code EX15L55

Something for Them

We received a wonderful gift in the post recently from These Fair Hands, a beautiful hand carved Solid Oak Boot Jack. It was lovingly wrapped and as I opened it, I was faced with the dilemma of whether to use it to remove muddy boots or hang it on the wall as an ornament. Paul, who made the gift for me, carved ‘Hen Corner’ and our logo onto the Boot Jack and offers personalised names or messages on all of their products. As a small family business based in Hampshire, they have created a whole range of beautiful, personalised wooden gifts and accessories for home and outdoors. They are passionate about all that they do and each of their products are handmade using responsibly sourced timber. Once I held the gift in my hand I was straight to the website to see what other things I’d like and am certainly planning to buy a Christmas gift or two from These Fair Hands. Paul has generously offered all our readers a discount of 15% redeemable against any item purchased from their website before 30th November using the voucher code HC15. Check out their full range here and make sure you order by Saturday 12th December for guaranteed pre-Christmas delivery.

Coming up at the Corner…
