This was James’ last ‘first day’, in 2015. Now, both of our children have great fulfilling jobs, have left home and James is getting married…
So now it’s my turn.
I’m going back to school.
Unfortunately, I missed the front door photo in my enthusiasm to arrive on time at campus to meet the tutors and fellow students - 32 years after my last ‘first day’.

We’ve had a great time at @bbcgwfair at Audley E We’ve had a great time at @bbcgwfair at Audley End House with @gardenersworldmag this weekend ☀️The Organic Kitchen Garden is amazing and today we popped into the house (for a bit of shade) and look what discovered in the 1881 kitchen > Piccalilli *and* Apple Jelly… it’s great to celebrate traditional skills!

It was great to catch up with @aritanderson, learn all about mushrooms from the @caleybrothers and even had @headgardenerlc chopping apples for our cider press demo!

- Each author has just two minutes to speak about their book, making this a fast-paced, fun and fascinating evening. 

- There is a bar open before this event, during the interval halfway through, and at the end while authors and audience mingle, buy books and get them signed.
