Ealing Independent College – January ’25

| 24th February 2025

Last month, a local school, Ealing Independent College, asked if we could help support their French GCSE curriculum by hosting a French baking class. The plan was to teach the students how to create traditional Croissants and Galette de Rois with the recipes written in French, requiring the students to translate the instructions in order to develop their baking skills. We had a great time, see here for their write up.

We were greeted warmly by the owner of Hen Corner and she delighted us with her famous cinnamon rolls. After indulging in her mouth-watering baked goods, we set to make our own. We were shown how to craft beautiful buttery croissants and before we knew it, golden brown swirls of goodness were leaving the oven.
