‘I do enjoy the slower pace of early January’, writes Sara Ward in her first guest blog of the new year. ‘Yes I still need to complete my tax return, but the garden is pretty dormant, the bees are safely huddled together for warmth, and the chickens are happy preening their new winter plumes’.
Now is the time for trying out something new, she says, Now is the time for making marmalade from Seville oranges. If you would like to breakfast like royalty, making two types of marmalade and a loaf of bread, she has the very course next week, on Tuesday 13 January.
