The Best Fish and Chips ever?

We’ve been on a bit of a tour recently and, whilst having a generally all round good time, managed to stumble on a bit of a find!

We were looking for some lunch and had a couple of hours spare – ‘Off to the seaside for fish and chips!’ was the top suggestion… Not wanting a large resort, our OS map showed a nice beach framing the small town of Mundesley in Norfolk… would there be a chip shop?

We decided to give the local pub a try and were delighted to discover that the beer garden had not only a great children’s play area but also stunning views of the sea from the beach balcony.

”Head Chef Scott Cullum is very keen to use only local food suppliers, the Village Butcher for a great choice of Norfolk produce and Cromer Crabs from the Davies Fish Shop…  A must try is ‘The Ship Inn Classic’ Beer Battered Haddock with Hand Cut Chips, Homemade Tartare Sauce and Dressed Leaves…”

We were pleased with the presentation, enjoyed our meal with a beer and, after just a few mouthfuls, realised that it was probably the best fish and chips we’ve ever tasted!

Well there you go – worth writing home about…
