Believing in community – doing it together…

We’ve had lots of fun with friends this month; life is so much more enjoyable when you are journeying with companions.

Here you can see friends and neighbours last weekend, about to go home with their Harvest Fare Trades, I think they picked up some Feta Cheese, some Elderflower Liqueur and took home a demijohn of cider (we were pressing while we swapped). A good time was had by all and it was especially great to welcome Charlotte’s Chickens and Pretty Cheeky Cupcakes who seemed to enjoy a bit of bartering with some of their fab produce (we do like these friends, could you like them on FB too?). As for me, I was chuffed to swap some of my stuff for some earrings (made with our Ascot’s feathers), some fire logs (we’ll need those soon), some cakes, chillies and a selection of home-grown veg. Next year’s date has been set for Saturday 29th September, if you are in the area – come along!
