🫒 This year we’ve left the olives on the tree as they ripen from green through purple to black.
🫒They’ve been soaked in rainwater to begin the process of drawing out the bitter glucosides and are now resting in brine to achieve their hallmark saltiness.
🫒They’ll be ready to eat, maybe marinated in olive oil with homegrown rosemary, in a few months time.

🍐Quince paste 19 jars
🍐Membrillo 5.2kg
🍐Quince Jelly 22 jars
🍐Poached slices in syrup 4kg
🍐Quince Cordial 1.7l
🍐Quince Gin 2.5kg
Now, where to store it all???

Ten years ago today, after training as @BreadAngel

Ten years ago today, after training as @BreadAngels, my good friend @katrosbaxtros and I *accidentally* opened a bakery… We worked hard, baked loads, and met many fabulous faithful customers - our bread even won a couple of Great Taste Awards ⭐️⭐️
During the Covid pandemic, our microbakery was the main business of Hen Corner.
Now after baking for over a thousand customers we’ve decided to focus on teaching, equipping and empowering people to bake their own brilliant bread, learning skills for life that will feed them forever.
