Making New Cheeses
Pop on your pinny and roll up your sleeves, this special course has been designed to help develop your artisan culinary skills as we separate the curds and whey, creating three new cheeses in our London kitchen…
Sara Ward will welcome you to Hen Corner with fresh coffee and home made bakes. After an introduction to our time together we will start making our first cheese following the whole process from beginning to end. Throughout the day, you will have opportunity to stroll around the garden visiting the chickens and bees, and discover how we are choosing to live a more sustainable life.
This course is a natural follow on to Introduction To Making Cheese
Whilst the cheeses are straining and settling in moulds, we will enjoy a simple lunch to fuel us for the tasks of the afternoon.
We are pleased to bring you this London cheese making course.
Organic Recipes for the day may include:
- Garden Roule – soft cheese with garlic and herbs
- Mould Ripened Blue – gooey and delicious
- Pressed Halloumi – perfect for grilling
- Multi seed crackers – wheat-free
Everyone goes home with a goodie bag of your home made cheese, crackers and recipes to make again.
We are delighted to source our supplies from Moorlands Cheesemakers Ltd
